Creating a Role

Step 1:

Go into Settings and select Users then select Roles.

Step 2:

In order to create a role you must add a name. When creating a role we preselect the same permissions that the Staff Role has, here you can remove all of the permissions by pressing Unselect All or by unchecking any specific permission. When you are finished press Create.

Note: The Staff Role has already been created and assigned to all users that had a role previously so you will only need to create Roles the have different permissions than the Staff Role.

Editing a Role

Step 1:

Go into Settings and select Users then select Roles.

Step 2:

Update the Role name, description, or the permissions that are needed and press Save.

Note: Don't update the Staff Role unless you are certain that all of members of the staff don't need the permission.

Assigning a Role

Step 1:

Go to any user and view them in staff. Scroll down to the Sailamx Settings section. There you will see the user's assigned Roles. Select Edit All to save or remove a Role.

Step 2:

Use the dropdown to assign Roles, then select Save All.

Step 3:

Now you can see the user's Role has changed.
