Subscriptions can be cancelled in bulk by visiting the "Subscriptions" index page as illustrated below.

From the "Subscriptions" screen, you get a paginated list of all subscriptions registered in the application.

In general, you may want to only cancel subscriptions that are marked as "Suspended", or "In Grace Period". Or you may want to cancel subscriptions linked to a specific product, or based on the next renewal date or not linked to a roster...

In order to accomplish this, you will need to filter the subscriptions table first.

Filter subscriptions

In order to get the right list of subscriptions to cancel, you need to filter the results displayed in the table. To filter the displayed subscriptions, click on the "Add Filter" button located at the top of the subscriptions table, as shown below.

Pick any filter you want from the list of filters. You can add more than one filter in order to get the right list of subscriptions to cancel.

For example, pick the following filters in order to get a list of all "subscriptions that are in grace period and suspended, linked to a specific membership product, where their next renewal date is before or equal to May 1st and not of type Roster". In order for this request to work, you will pick the following filters:

  1. Subscription Status: with "Grace Period" and "Suspended" values.

  2. Subscription Contains Product: with "Membership Product" value.

  3. Subscription Next Renewal Date: with date set to "5/1/2024" and operator to "Smaller or equal to".

  4. Subscription Type: with type "Org Roster" and operator to "Not in list".

You can see the filter illustrated below:

Now that your list is filtered and you have the requested subscriptions, it's time to cancel them.

Cancel subscriptions

From the subscriptions table, on the top right, you can click on the "Bulk Actions" button. Once clicked, it enables the "bulk mode" in the table and displays 2 things on the screen:

  1. A new column with an ellipsis icon in the table header

  2. A checkbox in the newly added column of all listed subscriptions.

Note: you can disable the bulk mode by simply clicking on the "Disable Bulk Actions" button, located at the top right of the table.

Now, in order to cancel the subscriptions, you need to select them. 2 methods are available to select the subscriptions you would like to cancel:

  1. Selecting each subscription individually by checking the checkbox

  2. Select all displayed subscriptions from the "ellipsis" menu

Select subscriptions individually

As mentioned above, you can click on each displayed checkbox to select a subscription to cancel. You can only select subscriptions displayed on the table.

Select all displayed subscriptions

From the table "ellipsis" column, you can click on ellipsis icon to open a sub-menu. From the sub-menu, click on "Select All Rows on Page":

Bulk actions are contextual (note)

Bulk actions are applied only on selected items of the current table page. By default, all tables display a list of 25 items (subscriptions here). If you want to work with a larger data set, simply change the quantity of displayed items in the table by choosing an "items per page" option at the bottom left of the table like so:

Cancel selected subscriptions

Once you have the subscriptions you would like to cancel selected, click on the "ellipsis" column icon and choose "Cancel (n) Subscriptions". The (n) value shows the number of selected subscriptions you're going to cancel.
